1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LOCK, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. You must be at least 18 years old to use LOCK.

2. Description of Service

LOCK is a dating application that incorporates prediction markets. Users can:

• Create profiles and match with other users
• Commit funds to express interest in potential matches
• Participate in prediction markets related to dating outcomes
• Earn money based on market outcomes and being chosen for dates

3. Financial Terms

Commits & Stakes: When you commit to a potential match, funds are held in escrow. A portion (the commit fee) is immediately transferred to the recipient. The remainder is returned if rejected or becomes market liquidity if matched.

Platform Rake: LOCK takes a 10% fee from the losing pool of resolved markets.

Chosen Bonus: Users who are selected for subsequent dates earn 5% of the relevant market volume.

No Refunds: Commit fees are non-refundable. Market bets are final once placed.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false information or impersonate others
• Manipulate markets through collusion or false attestations
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the platform for illegal activities
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or mechanics
• Create multiple accounts

5. Attestations & Disputes

Users must provide truthful attestations about date outcomes within 24 hours. False attestations may result in:

• Account suspension or termination
• Forfeiture of funds
• Reputation penalties

Disputes are resolved by our resolution committee. Their decisions are final.

6. Risks

You acknowledge that:

• Prediction markets involve financial risk — you may lose money
• Dating involves personal risk — exercise appropriate caution
• Blockchain transactions are irreversible
• Market outcomes depend on honest attestations from other users

7. Intellectual Property

LOCK and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LOCK and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

LOCK is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to financial losses, emotional distress, or personal injury resulting from dates arranged through the platform.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Any funds in active markets will be handled according to our dispute resolution process.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of LOCK after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
